Watching Your Child's Progress

Using the EYLF (Early Years Learning Framework) educators will observe your child’s learning so they can build on it and plan the next steps. They will do this by listening, watching, and talking to your child. Each child will have their own digital portfolio and a Learning journal. The digital portfolio will contain observations, reflections and further planning that has been done for your child. Your child’s learning Journal may contain photos, work samples, summative assessments and checklists as your child develops and moves from group to group. It is a good idea to remain connected to your child’s early education, so please read the posts that are put up in Xplor Home as these will give you an idea of what learning has happened with your child each time they attend. We also encourage you to make an appointment with us at the end of each semester so that we can talk to you about how your child is going and give you an opportunity for you to give us feedback of how you think we are doing.
